Little Black Book is looking for a Community & Content Assistant to join their editorial and community team. The role will cover both an editorial and content side whilst also acting, on the Community side, as the lynch pin who brings all of LBB’s members together. This entry level role is a great opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the worlds of advertising, journalism and technology.
This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about the creative industry from the inside-out and the lucky candidate will be able to grow their role within the business. It could be a great first step for someone looking to get into publishing or the advertising industry or a sideways move for someone looking to return to the industry and build new skills.
Below are few elements of the job:
You will be assisting and managing content submitted by LBB members to LBBonline where you will need to be a diligent proof reader!
You will be navigating LBBonline’s CMS as well as writing content and helping to develop an effective social media strategy.
Ensuring LBB’s members are getting the most out of, and effectively using, the platform whilst acting as their main point of contact.
Building friendly and professional relationships across a variety of businesses.
Working closely with the Head of Community & Content.
What skills/ attributes LBB is looking for
A proven passion for the creative world and a curiosity about business and technology.
Excellent written English.
A familiarity with CMS systems and social media platforms.
Diligence and attention to detail.
Self-organised and having a great working attitude - social skills are also core!
Good understanding of technology and problem solving within this field (basic HTML skills) would be advantageous.
A proficiency with MS Office packages - an aptitude for learning new software.
Image editing software experience (Adobe Photoshop, GIMP) would be a plus!
Additional languages are always a bonus! - particularly Spanish, French, Russian, Chinese, Japanese.
1-2 years experience journalism/media training at a magazine, website, production company or agency would be advantageous, but NOT essential.
Salary: £18k - £20k a year (based on experience)
