ODELAY is a film production company based in the heart of Soho.

They make award-winning music videos, TV commercials and online digital content.

They have a small permanent team with a roster of freelance producers and 11 talented directors based mainly in the UK, but also in Amsterdam and Berlin.

They work across comedy, dance, fashion, drama, lifestyle, beauty and animation.

As a company, they pride themselves in the close relationship they have with their directors

and they wish to push, develop and nurture the talent they work with to produce great films that entertain and engage the viewer.

They will be launching their animation division this year and have plans for the future to develop their feature/longer format narrative pieces in 2019.


So, what's the job? 

They are on the hunt for a  Creative Assistant  to come join the Odelay family on a full-time basis.

The role will be constantly evolving as new briefs come in and new marketing schemes are devised.

They see this role as a good educational role and a great stepping stone to a career in film.

They want someone to come in and really feel that they can make a mark on the company and work closely with the creative team to develop the Odelay brand.

Key Responsibilities

Below are a few elements of the job:

  • You may be helping directors with their treatments - image research and sourcing, making mood films  and proof-reading text for typos; you may also be responsible for layout design and the graphics of the treatment too

  • Updating their social channels with interesting content form the directors or anything relevant in the news

  • Ensuring their website and Vimeo is up to date with latest work and ensuring credits are correct

  • Sending marketing collateral to clients

  • Answering the office phone and helping out with shoots, when required

  • Managing the crew database for new talent


What skills / attributes ODELAY is looking for:

  • Engaging, good sense of humour and genuine passion for film

  • Broad understanding of filmmaking process - perhaps having just finished a degree in film. If you do your own projects too that’s good to hear about, but not an essential

  • You will also be able to feed into the PR and marketing of the directors - seeking opportunities to  publicise the company on social and website

  • Someone who wishes to work in the commercial production world - it’s different to feature film world; their projects have quick turnaround and clients that need their needs met. It’s fast paced, high energy  and can be fairly stressful so a grounded attitude is important

  • Presentable with a good phone manner

  • Organised and diligent

  • Basic graphic design skills for treatment layouts, and marketing collateral

  • Self-shooter / Editing skills are a plus - There is an edit suite with Adobe Creative Cloud         in the office


Salary: £19K - £22K a year (based on experience)


Holidays: 28 days holiday per year + bank holidays
