So, what's the job?

Wieden+Kennedy is looking to find an assistant to ensure the effective and efficient running of the in-house production department.

 

The role will require exceptional attention to detail, organisation and ability to take initiative and prioritise between multiple tasks at a time. This would be an ideal role for someone who is keen to progress as a producer or understand the editorial / filmmaking process.

Prior experience in an administrative or busy office environment, or in a commercial or film production company is required.

 

Below is a list of duties that outline the core responsibilities but there may be some tasks that are not listed below.

                                                                                         

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Direct Assistant to the Head of the In-house Production Department.

  • Assist in bookings and schedule management of multiple editors and freelance artists at a time across 4 different work stations within the agency.

  • Manage the incoming requests from the agency and work with Head of Department on resources and job priority list.

  • Assist in implementing new scheduling software and organisational software that will help make the department run efficiently.

  • Assist in managing, organising and budgeting internal photography and film shoots that take place in the WK studio and at outside locations.

  • Assist Photographer / Director on film shoots.

  • Keep track of and monitor archiving schedule.

  • Manage the availability and status of freelance list, while assisting with resourcing and finding interesting and new freelance artists to work with.

  • Process freelance payments and paperwork needed for all freelancers working with the department.

Key Competencies:

  • Proficient in Excel and Word, Calendar and all shared Google programs on Drive.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail and written / verbal communication.

  • Experience and interest in social media platforms and how to make the most of social media.

  • Prior experience on a production or as part of a production team is helpful but not a requirement.

  • You don’t necessarily need every experience listed, but you MUST be eager to learn, ready to work hard, truly reliable, always helpful and confident.

Reports to: Head of In-house Production

Works closely with: Head of In-house department, Internal Editors, Account Managers,

TV Producers

Department Manages: In-house Productions

 

Salary: £24k a year
